Doug Hoffman
Doug Hoffman is an American entrepreneurial success story. After starting off in the corporate world at PwC, he had the itch to go out and see if he could make it on his own.
He seized an opportunity to be the CFO for the Lake Placid Olympics in 1980 in Lake Placid NY and experienced the excitement of the “Miracle on Ice” hockey game.
Enchanted by the beauty of Lake Placid, he decided to stay, but the area was economically depressed. None the less, Doug persisted and started his own accounting firm.
Over the years, through much trial and error, he built the firm into a large enterprise with several million dollars in annual revenues and 5 regional offices – the largest CPA firm in northern New York.
